[eSIM Usage Conditions]
1. The device supports the eSIM function.
How to check: On the phone dialer interface, dial *#06#. Generally, the presence of an EID indicates eSIM support. If there is no EID, eSIM cannot be used.
2. The phone is not carrier-locked.
How to check: Confirm with your carrier whether your device is locked.
*Please check if you meet the above conditions before purchasing. eSIM can only function properly if all conditions are met.
[Setting Up eSIM]
eSIM can only be installed under a stable network connection. Therefore, please plan the eSIM installation time reasonably according to the plan's validity period before your departure (it is recommended to install it within 6 hours before departure). Avoid installing it too early, which may cause the plan to expire prematurely and affect usage.
[Enable Data Roaming]
Please ensure the "Data Roaming" option for the eSIM is enabled.
[Upholding the Principle of Fair Internet Usage]
To maintain the quality of internet connections and uphold the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), telecom companies worldwide may sometimes impose data restrictions on customers who use a large amount of internet data within a short period. This may lead to internet access failure or slower speeds. To ensure you can connect to the internet normally, please try to avoid prolonged video watching/downloading, software updates, sharing your internet with others (hotspot), or other data-intensive usage behaviors.
[Install eSIM]
1. Open the QR code attachment in your Trip. com APP order, and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device. (For iOS 17 and above and some Android phones, you can save the QR code image directly to your phone)
2. Open Cellular (iOS) or SIM card management (Android) in Settings.
3. With your phone connected to the internet, click "Add Cellular Plan" (iOS) or "Add SIM card management" (Android), then scan the QR code to install.
4. If scanning fails, you can install by entering the "SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code" from your order voucher.
5. If steps 3 or 4 fail, your phone may be network-locked by your home carrier (unable to use other carrier network bands). Contact your carrier to unlock it before using eSIM.
Set Up Internet
[Use eSIM]
1. Turn off the primary SIM card and turn on the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable Cellular Data (iOS) or SIM card (Android).
3. Turn on Data Roaming.
4. If you still cannot access the internet after the above settings, please set the APN and restart your phone. See details below.
[About APN]
1. If you purchased an eSIM covering multiple countries/regions and cannot connect upon arriving in a new area, please manually switch the APN (normally it switches automatically).
2. Setting path: Cellular > Cellular Data Network, or Settings > Mobile Network > Access Point Names > Add.
3. Enter APN: cmhk
4. Restart your phone.
[How to Use Renewal Orders]
The renewal order will activate automatically after the initial plan's validity period ends. Do not scan the QR code to install again.
1. For plans with high-speed data that slows down after usage, the slowed-down data will be used first until the initial plan's validity period ends. Restart your phone to use the renewed plan.
2. For plans with high-speed data that stops after usage, restart your phone after the high-speed data is used up to use the renewal order.
To use eSIM on another device, please click "Re-book", not "Apply for Renewal". Renewed data plans do not support switching devices.
